Cole Swindell Announces ‘Down Home Sessions’ EP and Tour
“Chillin’ It” hitmaker Cole Swindell has announced his back-to-basics Down Home Tour, a month-long string of club concerts starting November 11th at New York City’s Best Buy Theatre. Running through December 19th, the trek will also serve as the launching pad for his second Dome Home Sessions EP, visiting 16 clubs and theaters from Uncasville, Connecticut, to Fort Worth, Texas. With five new songs, the EP is set for release this fall.
With his debut album’s fourth single, “Let Me See Ya Girl,” nearing the Top 10 of Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart — and with two Number Ones under his belt (“Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight”), plus the platinum-selling “Chillin’ It” — Swindell’s star has been on the rise. All summer he’s been touring stadiums and amphitheaters with Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney, but this winter he’ll release new music and get back to his “down home” roots.
“I’ve been in the studio recording some brand new music for you that I am fired up for you to hear,” the reigning ACM New Artist of the Year says in a video message to fans. “Last year we did an EP and did a club tour and we just had such a blast, I said we had to do it again. . . That’s where it all started for me, in clubs and bars, and I don’t ever wanna outgrow that.”
Swindell has partnered with Monster Energy’s Outbreak Tour, a franchise hoping to get behind growing artists just as they break into stardom, and will be the first country artist to do so. “It’s going to be a blast,” says Swindell. “This is the first time Monster’s ever done a country tour, and I’m so proud to be partnered up with them.”
Joining Swindell to open shows will be country newcomer Adam Sanders, a twangy singer with a hint of Tracy Lawrence in his voice and a co-writer on “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey.”
