Hear the ‘Delicately Crafted’ Sex Anthems That Won Pornhub’s Song Contest
The fledgling label Pornhub Records – run by the self-proclaimed Number One porn site in the world – has named two new songs as the “official anthems” of the site. Last year, the company launched a contest to find the “ultimate” Pornhub theme song, and a judging panel that included T-Pain and producer Scott Storch sifted through a reported thousands of submissions. Now it’s rewarding the winners – Jordan Royale and Mihannah Zhang – with $5,000 to make videos for their songs.
Royale’s winning tune, “Pornhub Anthem,” is a fusion of quasi-trappy rap and EDM with lyrics like, “I love watching porn when I have a bad day/It’s like jerking off flushes all the pain away.” The chorus goes, “Pornhub, it’s all day/it’s every day, all day.”
Zhang’s winning song, “You Make Me Feel Like,” is more like a loose rock song as she sings lyrics like, “You make me feel like [gasps and moans].” The song’s transitions go, “Pornhub-3-4!” as the singer offers, “I know you want me dancing this way/You know I want you dancing that way,” essentially suggesting where she’ll take the video.
“We received thousands of submissions from around the world – fledgling rockers to upstart rappers to budding DJs and everything in between,” Pornhub VP Corey Price tells Rolling Stone. “We wanted an artist to evoke an emotive response representative of the Pornhub brand from listeners. Both Jordan and Mihannah did just that. They took the personality of our brand and delicately crafted it, embodying exactly what we’re looking for in an official anthem. Here at Pornhub Records we’re all about star quality, and without further ado we’d like to introduce the world to Jordan Royale and Mihannah Zhang.”
Now that the winners have been announced, they are expected to use their award money to make respective videos for their songs that will on the site. Pornhub is guaranteeing them 500,000 views each.
Pornhub Records launched last September, when it released a single by Coolio, “Take It to the Hub.” The rapper made an NSFW video for the song, where it has logged more than one million views so far.
Although Coolio recorded his Pornhub song, he is not on the label, which has yet to announce any official signings. As previously reported, winning the contest did not guarantee a record deal.
