Willie Nelson, Skrillex Concerts to Air on SiriusXM on New Year’s Eve
SiriusXM has announced a stacked New Year’s lineup with live concerts by Elton John, Willie Nelson, Skrillex, Diplo and others to air throughout the night and into the following day on multiple channels.
Nelson’s headlining set at the Moody Theater in Austin, as part of Austin City Limits Live, will air on the country legend’s own Willie’s Roadhouse, channel 59, while Diplo and Skrillex‘s co-headlining gig at Madison Square Garden will play on BPM, channel 51.
On New Year’s Day, the Bridge, channel 32, will broadcast Elton John‘s performance from the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, and the Pulse, channel 15, will feature sets from a number of performers – including Meghan Trainor, Train and Matt Nathanson – playing the “Live in the Vineyard Concert.”
Other live New Year’s Eve highlights include Phil Lesh at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York (Grateful Dead, channel 23), Southside Johnny at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, New Jersey (E Street Radio, channel 20), Erasure at Terminal 5 in New York (First Wave, channel 33) and Widespread Panic at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina (Jam_ON, channel 29). Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren will spin back-to-back sets on Electric Area, channel 52, with the former broadcasting first from Pier 36 in New York, and the latter following live from White Wonderland in Anaheim, California.
Along with these live sets, SiriusXM will also replay a number of concerts that aired throughout 2014, including the Black Keys’ private concert for SiriusXM listeners at Nashville’s Mercy Lounge (The Spectrum, channel 28); the Allman Brothers’ last concert at the Beacon Theatre (Classic Vinyl, channel 26); the Foo Fighters’ recent gig at Irving Plaza in New York (Alt Nation, channel 36); and Young Jeezy at the Echostage in Washington, D.C. (Hip Hop Nation, channel 44).
