Whitney and Bobby: Didn’t They Almost Have It All?
Bittersweet memories “that’s all I’m taking with me” and it’s all Whitney’s taking from Bobby — at least until the lawyers get involved. But damn! It’s too true! Whitney and Bobby checking into the heartbreak hotel! The greatest love of all? Not so great, in retrospect, or so Whitney has suddenly realized, now that she’s finally filed for divorce after fourteen years. This is a sad, sad, sad day for lovers (and lovers of fine music) everywhere. We’re locking ourselves up on this rainy day, playing Whitney’s first album over and over, singing along tearfully with “Saving All My Love For You,” and screaming “Hell to the no!” every time Whitney sings, “No other woman is gonna LOVE YOU MORE!” What went wrong here? Wouldn’t you think if they were going to break up, they would have done it years ago, like, maybe before they did their whole reality show? Didn’t they almost have it all? Isn’t he all the man that she needs?
Listen to our Whitney n’ Bobby playlist (iterated after the jump) here. And don’t even BOTHER trying to reach us on the phone today. Because we have nothing — nothing — NOTHING if we don’t have these two:
