Louis C.K. Gets Hurt Repeatedly in ‘Louie’ Teaser
Although Louis C.K. usually succumbs to any number of not-so-merry maladies and indignities during a season of his FX show Louie, a preview of the show’s upcoming season, which premieres May 5th, shows him getting hurt – physically. An elderly man hits him, he spends time icing his head in jail, he suffers various pains walking around and, in one scene, he has to sit on a sidewalk due to pain. A doctor even tells him to come back when he has “something fun like a blood disease.” But of course, it’s all better than the alternative, as C.K. lays out at the beginning of the clip: “What happens after you die? Actually lots of things happen after you die. Just none of them include you.”

Louie shared another teaser for the show, riffing on the opening to Woody Allen’s Manhattan intro, but of course with a mordant spin. The show, which has been in hiatus for over a year and a half, also shared teasers with C.K. on the Staten Island Ferry and looking out at the Statue of Liberty.
In advance of the show’s return, the comedian hosted Saturday Night Live in March, including an unaired skit in which he plays an alien invader with a penchant for pictures of shirtless Earth hunks – “Earth Guy Art,” as he calls it. He also filmed a series of promos for the sketch show that display vastly different sides of him.
