See Rihanna’s Second Collection for Emporio Armani
Rihanna, who looked ravishing in a Tom Ford alligator dress at this week’s Met Gala, has reconfirmed to reporters that her dream of launching her own clothing line will become reality. “Designing is definitely in the near future for me,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “We’re working on it as we speak.” She said something similar back in March, so it seems this union between the pop star and fashion may actuall happen. For now, we get to look at sketches for her second and final capsule collection for Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans, for which she’s served as a model, muse and collaborator for several seasons now.
As her recent ad for the brand suggested, there will be plenty of sexy but PG-13 undergarments. Then again, there’s also Riri’s idea of daywear: grungy denim, glittery bra tops and tartan skirts all dominate, perhaps as respective nods to RiRi’s love of Nineties edge, straight-up sex and cheeky British hijinx.
You can see the sketches here. Willl Rihanna’s own line follow stylistic suit? There’s only one way to find out – and it may even transpire on TV.
