Apple Mac Computer Buyers More Satisfied Than PC Shoppers
Users who buy Apple Mac computers are more satisfied than other PC owners, according to a new report by the Temkin Group.
In a recent customer satisfaction survey of 842 recent PC buyers, Apple led in all five categories covered from researching to choosing and installing a system, beating out rival PC manufacturers like HP and Dell.
Per findings, Apple enjoys a slight advantage over competitors in the areas of availability of product information, ease of setup and purchase, and general overall satisfaction. But it scores much higher in the customer service department, helping explain why the company’s computers also enjoy the most word of mouth buzz of any brand, per researchers’ results.
Buyers of Mac computers further appear to be less hung up on price, and willing to pay more for better customer service, per survey feedback. That’s a doubly good thing for Steve Jobs and co., who excel in online sales, as research also indicates that, insofar as consumer satisfaction goes, most shoppers prefer buying directly from manufacturers themselves.
