Kiss, Members of Nirvana Appearing This Week on ‘The Tonight Show’
It looks like Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show is getting a jump on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrations this week, with appearances from this year’s inductees Kiss, Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens), Hall and Oates‘ John Oates and Nirvana‘s Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
Rock Hall Induction 2014: Inside the Fights, Performances, Kiss’ Wrath
The week leading up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 10th kicks off with an appearance by John Oates sitting in with the Roots, according to Oates’ Facebook page, in addition to a performance by Nas. The theme continues on Tuesday with a performance by Islam, while Novoselic and Grohl make their appearance on Wednesday. It’s unclear whether the two Nirvana members will be performing together, since the night also includes Stevie Nicks as musical guest. (Nicks will be performing at Thursday’s induction ceremony in a tribute to honoree Linda Ronstadt, who is no longer able to sing.)
The week caps off with a grand finish on Friday, the night following the induction ceremony, with Kiss rocking the house. The band may have jettisoned their plans to perform during the ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center over personnel feuds and bad feelings, but here’s hoping they’ll be in a mood to celebrate.
