Joel Crouse Throws a Parking Lot Party in ‘If You Want Some’ – Premiere
You know it’s a good party when the cops show up and do keg stands. In his debut music video, “If You Want Some,” country newcomer Joel Crouse throws an impromptu bash reminiscent of his teen years.

“I’m from a small town: Holland, Massachusetts,” the singer tells Rolling Stone. “We’d go to the next town and just hang out in the convenience store parking lot. As boring as that sounds, it would entertain us!” The video’s convenience store soiree includes a jam session with Crouse and his band, along with some unexpected shenanigans by a man in blue.
The 21-year-old musician is ecstatic to see fans singing along to “If You Want Some” on Taylor Swift‘s Red Tour. Like all of her opening acts, Crouse was hand-picked by Swift herself to join the trek. In interacting with his tour boss, he has learned she likes a good party, as well. But hers are more of the G-rated nature. “Her mom goes out and picks random fans in the audience for ‘Club Red,’ and they come backstage and there’s pizza and candy waiting – like a Willy Wonka spread of candy,” Crouse explains with a laugh. “Taylor and some of the opening acts come back, and we all say thanks for coming to the show.”
“With Taylor, what you see is what you get,” he continues. “She’s very genuine, down to earth and cool.”
