Spider-Man and Electro Brawl in New ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Teaser
Times Square tourists get more than they bargained for in a new teaser clip for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which finds Spidey battling his nemesis Electro (Jamie Foxx) at the neon landmark.
The new, minute-long teaser was unveiled on New Year’s Eve and opens with a spirited introduction from Stan Lee. “I don’t know about you, but I am so excited about this,” enthuses the 91-year-old Spider-Man co-creator, “and I won’t waste any more of your time!” The teaser fittingly jumps straight into a New Year Eve’s countdown at Times Square, where electricity-hungry Electro rudely interrupts the festivities by siphoning off power — until of course, Spider-Man swings in. An enormous, building-shattering battle ensues – as does a glimpse of another nemesis, Rhino (Paul Giamatti), and some quick quips from our arachnid hero.
