Set against the pounding rhythm and on-the-nose message of her recent single “Work Bitch,” the clip captures the jangled nerves of Spears and her team as they rehearse choreography and fret over whether the show will be ready in time. “I’m really nervous,” Spears confides. “What if I just blank out and just stand there?”
The trailer for the 90-minute special also reveals that Spears suffered some kind of injury during the preparations. “I couldn’t do rehearsals the next day,” she tells the camera. “I just knew I almost broke my neck or something – there was serious damage.”
I Am Britney Jean airs on E! on December 22nd at 8 p.m. EST, five days before Spears opens her residency at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood, where she’s scheduled to perform 50 concerts a year there over her two-year run. Her eighth studio album, Britney Jean, came out on December 3rd.
