Listen: Vampire Weekend’s Hilarious Cover of Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’
Though Robin Thicke‘s single “Blurred Lines” recently stirred up controversy with its racy music video, that hasn’t diminished the song’s massive popularity – or its appreciation from other musicians. First, psych-rockers Queens of the Stone Age offered a goofy rendition of the R&B jam; now indie-rock mainstays Vampire Weekend are getting in on the action with their own light-hearted cover.

The Vampire Weekend version finds frontman Ezra Koenig mumbling half the lyrics with aplomb, while the bandmembers behind him replicate the original’s smooth bassline, funky percussion and falsetto whoops.
In other Robin Thicke news, the singer debuted another innuendo-laced single, the club-friendly “Give It 2 U,” earlier this month. His sixth studio album, Blurred Lines, hits shelves on July 30th.
