This is the rockers’ first studio LP since 2007’s Era Vulgaris and features a slew of guests including Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Elton John, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and the band’s original bassist, Nick Oliveri.
Along with a few performances of new tracks, QOTSA teased . . . Like Clockwork with a series of eerie animated videos set to portions of songs like “Kalopsia,” “My God Is the Sun,” “I Appear Missing,” “If I Had a Tail” and “Keep Your Eyes Peeled,” as well as a 15-minute short film that strung together a series of album cuts and which Homme described as “an audio commentary of a manic year.”
