Wild Belle Seek Isolation in ‘Another Girl’ – Premiere
Wild Belle, the brother-sister rock duo of Elliot and Natalie Bergman, head off to some gorgeous, out-of-the-way locations for the video for “Another Girl,” a song from their debut LP Isles. Directed by their brother, Bennet Wade Bergman, the clip visits the defunct salt-mine town of Mina, Nevada; Dyer and Fish Lake Valley in New York; and Bonneville Salt Flats and Arches National Park in Utah. The director describes the clip as “the fever dream of a jealous lover, chronicling both Natalie’s real and fantasized relationship with a distracted man.”

Natalie Bergman added that the video was filmed on a caravan from San Francisco to Chicago, between the band’s stints at Outside Lands and Lollapalooza, and was partially inspired by her recent obsession with the films of Alejandro Jodorowsky. “His work is fascinating and innovative – his imagery is haunting and spectacular,” she says. “I wanted to create a movie that captured a feeling of intrigue and wonder, with beautiful footage that somehow left you feeling lonely. When I wrote ‘Another Girl’ I was coming from a place of loneliness and abandonment. I thought the desert would be the perfect location to embody that kind of desolation.”
