Miley Cyrus Documentary Captures Her Arrival at the VMAs
Miley Cyrus took viewers through the process leading up to her performance at the VMAs last night during the premiere of her documentary special Miley Cyrus: The Movement on MTV. “I want, every time you see me, it to be amazing. Everything we do has to be so huge. Everything has to be a moment,” she said.
But the event didn’t go off without hiccups.

Cyrus was supposed to arrive at the VMAs in a police car, but didn’t due to a logistics error. The clip shows Cyrus and her entourage in the car, as she tries to make heads or tails out of what should be done. Frustrated and nervous, she decides to skip the police car entirely and gets out of the car, which is where her performance begins. Few would have guessed that moments before there had been any sort of issue.
The cameras followed her backstage while she warmed up before taking the stage, fully aware that something big was about to go down. “If I can perform in front of 90,000 people, there’s not much that anyone can tell you you can’t do,” she said.
