Listen: Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘Keep Your Eyes Peeled’ Dials in Sludgy Guitar
Queens of the Stone Age stopped by a Belgian radio station for an in-studio session last week to play some songs off their upcoming album . . . Like Clockwork, and their performance of opening track of “Keep Your Eyes Peeled” has now surfaced at Antiquiet. “Keep Your Eyes Peeled” is a heavy, bluesy metal march that stomps forward with sludgy guitar smacks and Josh Homme’s haunting vocals. The band trudges through the swampy track before unfolding into a swirling fury of needling guitars and piercing drums.
