Kings of Leon and Fred Armisen Dissect ‘Supersoaker’
Kings of Leon are almost ready to rock out at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in a livestreamed show, and now the band has dropped a fun teaser clip ahead of their massive gig. The video picks up with Kings of Leon rehearsing for the show in Nashville, Tennessee, when the session is suddenly interrupted by Fred Armisen, who’s directing their upcoming concert. “What are you doing here?” asks the band. “I’m just. . . I am here!” replies Armisen.

As their director, Armisen has some suggestions for the band, splitting their roles in their new single “Supersoaker” into individual parts. The band isn’t so sure, but Armisen is. “You ever hear this saying? ‘All great ideas are not great,'” says Armisen. He has a plan, though. “I want to put you in a competition. . . against each other,” Armisen says. “I want to find out who is the best member of Kings of Leon.” Luckily, the rockers are great sports.
Kings of Leon’s American Express Unstaged show will be streamed live by YouTube and Vevo this Friday. The band’s next album, Mechanical Bull, will be released on September 24th.
