Hunters Flash Gonzo Charm on ‘Narcissist’ – Song Premiere
The punk group Hunters get wild with stream-of-consciousness glee on “Narcissist,” an early taste from their self-titled debut album on Mom + Pop. Packed with battling vocals, heavy guitars and raucous speed, the track offers a taste of the Brooklyn band’s rowdy live shows.

“The songs lyrics are a stream-of-consciousness thing that Izzy [Almeida] and I wrote together with no real set theme,” singer/guitarist Derek Watson tells Rolling Stone. “It wasn’t until afterwards that it came to mean something much more to us.”
Hunters are building on strong momentum: their first EP was produced by ex-Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, and the band has shared bills with Kurt Vile and the Kills. Hunters is set for release on October 1st.
