INVSN and Minus the Bear Interview Each Other
American indie-rock mainstays Minus the Bear and Swedish punks INVSN don’t necessarily seem like logical tour mates. But it’s clear the two bands (who are currently touring together) have a deep camaraderie, evidenced in this exclusive interview with INVSN mastermind Dennis Lyxzen and Minus the Bear frontman Jake Snider.

Within the exclusive seven-minute clip, the two musicians take turns interviewing each other, discussing their joint tour, musical inspiration and expensive vinyl.
At one point, Lyxzen talks about INVSN’s headspace on their current tour: “Our goal every night is to blow you offstage,” he says to Snider, noting the healthy sense of competition between the two bands. Lyxzen also notes his roots as a “hardcore kid” and his current fondness for Nick Cave.
Snider sheds light on his ever-evolving musical taste, noting his current fondness for jazz great Charles Mingus as well as the co-writing team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. “The writing process — that whole collective way of creating songs is interesting to me,” he says. “And (John) has such a deep catalogue that it’s pretty impressive.”
Minus the Bear’s current fall tour will conclude on November 8th. INVSN will accompany the band through their November 3rd show in Atlanta, Georgia.
