Wilco Cover ‘Get Lucky’ at Solid Sound Festival
For last night’s headlining show at their third annual Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, Massachusetts, Wilco played an entire set of all-request covers, as Gothamist reports. Obeying the wishes of fans over a span of 27 songs, the band hit tunes by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Thin Lizzy, Pavement and more. They were joined by Yo La Tengo for their cover of the band’s 1995 song “Tom Courtenay,” and Tommy Stinson sat in on their cover of the Replacements’ “Color Me Impressed.”
While most of the set skewed toward classic rock and indie stalwarts, Wilco got pretty contemporary with a fairly faithful rendition of Daft Punk‘s recent single, “Get Lucky.” They play another set at the festival tonight.
