Lady Gaga Announces ‘ARTPOP’ Release Date
Lady Gaga‘s new album ARTPOP will be released November 11th. As stated in a post on her website, Gaga’s third LP will be accompanied by an app (available September 1st), “a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology.”
Also announced: “The Single” off ARTPOP will drop on August 19th, and pre-orders for the album will kickoff September 1st.

Details regarding the new album have been hazy, but a statement released today is enchantingly ambiguous. ARTPOP “musically mirrors Gaga’s creative process as she passes through the medium of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint on her journey,” said the statement.
On November 10th, Gaga will host “an evening of artRave” with several collaborators, including contemporary artist Jeff Koons, best known for his large-scale sculpture work, and performance artist Marina Abramović, who was in attendance at Jay-Z’s six-hour “Picasso Baby” shoot at Pace Gallery in New York on Wednesday.
Lady Gaga cancelled 22 shows on her Born This Way tour earlier this year after suffering a hip injury, but is scheduled to return to the stage in September as part of iTunes Festival at Camden Roundhouse in London.
