Watch: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Debut ‘Any Weather’
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, debuting their new single “Any Weather” on the show’s summer concert stage. The track is built on classic Jett trademarks: palm-muted power-chords, backing vocal chants and a sing-along pop-punk chorus.

“Any Weather” is the lead single from Unvarnished, the band’s first new LP in seven years. As Rolling Stone reported last week, the album, due October 1st, features contributions from Dave Grohl and Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! Jett says the LP is the most autobiographical work she’s done to date, tackling subjects like the death of her parents, victims of Hurricane Sandy, and online culture.
The Blackhearts will play a small run of shows this fall, including September stops at Riot Fest in Chicago and the Shindig Festival in Baltimore, Maryland.
