‘Voice’ Wild Child Juliet Simms Visits Yahoo!
Team Cee Lo’s Juliet Simms may have memorably belted “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World” on Season 2 of “The Voice,” but it turned out that that song wasn’t so prophetic after all. She was the last girl standing that season, and despite placing second (she probably would have won, if the rule changes of the following season — no team quotas, the iTunes bonus — had applied), she is still known as the series’ ultimate rock ‘n’ roll queen. There’s been no one on the show, or any singing show, like her since.
But since then, the fierce and fabulous onetime Automatic Loveletter frontwoman has continued to forge her path to rock stardom, appearing on “The Voice” Seasons 3 and 4, releasing the raucous single “Wild Child,” signing with Republic Records, and rejoining forces with her former mentor Cee Lo, who is now co-managing her career. This rock goddess is spreading her black-feathered wings, and there’s nowhere to go but up.
Juliet recently brought her signature sandpaper growl to Yahoo! Music, where she performed acoustic versions of songs from her forthcoming album and sat down to talk in-depth about her journey pre- and post-“Voice.” And, of course, she rocked. Check out the videos here for proof!
