Chvrches Sound Silky on ‘The Mother We Share’ Remix – Song Premiere
It’s been a breakout year for Chvrches, the Scottish synth-pop trio responsible for some of 2013’s most delectable hooks. Today marks the U.S. release of their debut LP, The Bones of What You Believe, which coincides with the exclusive premiere of Moon Boots‘ remix of “The Mother We Share.”
The electronic producer layers Lauren Mayberry’s delicate croon over silky new-age synth pads and funky electronic flourishes. “I love the innocence of the song and the way it plays with the complicated emotions we all have with our parents and siblings,” Moon Boots tells Rolling Stone. “And to put my own spin on things, I tried to imagine what it would sound like if it were produced by Nile Rodgers and Pete Rock.”
The Bones of What You Believe is available on iTunes.
