As usual, Homme answered questions with honesty and hilarity. After saying how it’s easier for him to play The Late Show now that he knows how cold it is in the venue, he discussed the band’s work with Liverpool artist Boneface, who animated their pre-album video series. “He don’t like to use his real name and he don’t like to let anyone see his face, and so much of the time, everyone’s like, ‘What’s in Kim Kardashian’s underwear drawer?” he says. “And I don’t really care. I’d rather have music take on this thing that’s mysterious and that makes it exciting. It’s great to not know what’s going to happen.”
Homme then went on to compare the new track “If I Had a Tail” to “Lady Marmalade” and “Da Doo Ron Ron,” and praised Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” as one of the greatest songs ever.
