Alt-rockers Fishbone are known for blending ska and punk, as well as funk and soul; Bad Brains favor heavily hardcore punk with recent incorporations of heavy metal, soul and hip-hop. Now these two veteran acts are united: Bad Brains recently teamed up with Angelo Moore of Fishbone to release “Ragga Dub,” a futuristic track that combines Rasta beats and saxophone with punk-dub echoes and trills reminiscent of Indian music. It’s an instrumental-heavy, dance-ready modern take on reggae.
