T.I. Breaks Down Each Track of ‘Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head’
In December, Atlanta hip-hop hero T.I. released his eighth studio album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head. Now you can check out this new clip in which the rapper breaks down each of the album’s 16 cuts. “One thing that is certain about my life, for as long as I’ve known it, has been trouble,” says T.I. about the album. “And that ain’t nothing I’m shying away from; I’m embracing it. Whether you like it or not, it made me better, not worse.”
In the clip, T.I. also talks about working with Andre 3000 on “Sorry,” a track he calls “one of the most memorable features and collaborations” of his career. He also digs into “Hello,” the special musical hybrid moment that he, Cee Lo and Pharrell created as a “parade for the playa haters,” and “Trap Back Jumpin,” a song reminiscent of the music Tip made as an aspiring MC, a style he calls “my contribution to the game. And as my art form, I have mastered it and I own the right to come back and manipulate it however I see fit. And I do it the best, and not only can I tell you that I do it the best, I can show you.”
