Big Boi and Andre 3000 Reunite on Frank Ocean’s ‘Pink Matter’
Outkast partners Big Boi and Andre 3000 have reunited on a new remix of Frank Ocean’s song “Pink Matter,” marking the first time the two have appeared on a track together since 2010, when Andre 3000 made some unofficial contributions to Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot.
The version of “Pink Matter” that appeared on Ocean’s album Channel Orange featured only Andre 3000; Big Boi has now added a verse for the remix. According to Consequence of Sound, Ocean originally intended to include Big Boi as well, but Big Boi was busy with his own new album, and the duo didn’t want to commerically release a new Outkast song on another artist’s album.

Andre 3000 recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the persistent rumors of a true Outkast reunion and his own potential solo album. “Things are kind of up in the air with me, and some days, I feel like yeah, I’ll do it,” he said. “Some days, I feel like, I don’t. I don’t know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don’t.”
