Justin Bieber’s Late Entrance Angers Fans, Parents
Justin Bieber was greeted with a chorus of boos after taking the stage two hours late for a concert last night at London’s O2 Arena.
The pop star was scheduled to perform at 8:30 p.m. after three opening acts, but sent out a tweet saying the show had been pushed back to 9:35 “due to technical issues.” Many fans, and the venue itself apparently didn’t get the message, Reuters reports, and soon complaints were pouring in.

“I got on at 10:10..so…I was 40 min late to stage. there is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset,” Bieber later tweeted. “However it was great show and I’m proud of that.”
The O2 Arena also tweeted an apology to frustrated Beliebers, many of whom reportedly left the venue before the main act started. According to London Evening Standard critic John Aizlewood the arena was half-full by the end of the concert.
Bieber – who’s scheduled to play O2 tonight, Thursday and Friday – went on to promise that the rest of his shows would be running on time, adding he “look[ed] forward to putting on an amazing show for everyone in attendance.”
Bieber also took the chance to address his relationship with the media, which he said “in not always easy but im trying.” He added: “i never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. and Im not okay with things being exaggerated. once again sorry for anyone upset.”
