Pearl Jam Hit the Road Again
The summer’s here, and the time is right for cuttin’ outta town. That’s what Pearl Jam is doing, anyway. Having spent the better part of the late winter and spring toiling over the hotly anticipated follow-up to its quadruple-platinum debut album, Ten, the band is hot to play for people before the LP (due this fall) is even released. Which is what the group is doing in Europe, with Neil Young (backed by Booker T. and the MG’s!) and U2. Pearl Jam‘s own headlining shows in London and Rotterdam feature the expatriate South African band Tribe After Tribe.
So if you have any summer backpacking plans that include the EEC, here’s the dope: June 27th – Isle of Calf Festival, Oslo, Norway, with Neil Young. June 28th – Naval Museum, Stockholm, Sweden, with Neil Young. June 30th – Ishallen, Helsinki, Finland, with Neil Young. July 2nd and 3rd – Stadio Bentegodi, Verona, Italy, with U2. July 6th and 7th – Stadio Flaminio, Rome, with U2. July 10th – Slane Castle, Dublin, with Neil Young. July 11th – Finsbury Park, London, with Neil Young. July 13th and 14th – Brixton Academy, London. July 16th and 17th – Ahoy, Rotterdam, Holland.
