Mumford & Sons Reschedule Nixed Tour Dates
Mumford & Sons have rescheduled a handful of concerts they recently canceled when bassist Ted Dwane had surgery to remove a blood clot from the surface of his brain. The band posted new dates for New Orleans; Woodland Springs, Texas; Dallas; and Bonner Springs, Kansas on their website.
“Firstly, we are pleased to report that our beloved Ted is making a steady recovery from his operation and wearing his newly acquired shaven-headed hairstyle with enviable levels of suave,” the band wrote. “A huge, huge thank you to all for your messages of support; the man himself is rather overwhelmed. Secondly, on a related note, we can now confirm details of the rescheduled dates for the recently canceled U.S. shows.”
Mumford & Sons Behind the Scenes
Dwane’s emergency surgery two weeks ago prompted the band to cancel tour dates, as well as the group’s headlining appearance at Bonnaroo where they were replaced by Jack Johnson.
The make-up dates will come at the tail end of a short North American jaunt, dubbed “The Full English,” that will begin on August 26th in Toronto with support from the Vaccines and Bear’s Den. The band is scheduled to perform at Glastonbury later this month where they will be headlining alongside the Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys.
