The Aftermath: Gangsta Boo Talks ‘It’s Game Involved’ Collabs With 8Ball, Maino and Young Buck
Gangsta Boo dedicates her latest mixtape, It’s Game Involved, to her hardcore fans.
“I really don’t like doing mixtapes, I just like feeding my fans new Boo music, so whether I release it on a mixtape or a video viral on Youtube, I just try to keep them updated with what I got going on,” the former Three 6 Mafia member said during Part 1 of a 3-part interview with Yahoo! Music’s The Aftermath.
Gangsta Boo employs one of her old school rhyme flows on “Indiana Jones,” the mixtape’s first release in which she roars, “Rip your heart up out yo chest, I’m Indiana Jones ya bish,” while wielding a machete in the music video shot in Brooklyn.
During her stop at Yahoo!, Gangsta Boo thanked E-40 for inspiring the mixtape’s title and talked about her collaborations with 8Ball and Maino (“Pillow Talk“) as well as Young Buck (“Talk Nasty“).
“I been knowing Buck for so long,” she said. “I met Buck when I was like 18. … He’s hella underrated. Artists like him will always have a solid fan base. I’m sure that once he get out [of jail] and back in the industry, he’ll be well accepted again.”
Aside from It’s Game Involved, Boo is still gushing about teaming up with Yelawolf and Eminem on “Throw It Up” on Wolf’s 2011 album Radioactive. Em name drops her in his verse.
Boo explains, “It’s Eminem, he’s the biggest white rapper and by people’s choice, some believe the greatest rapper in the world, so of course that was an amazing opportunity for me to have him co-sign me by saying my name and shouting me out in a verse. I’m an artist but I’m a fan of other artists, almost to the factor.”
In Part 2, Gangsta Boo talks about reuniting with Three 6 Mafia members for new group Da Mafia 6ix.
