Report: New Arcade Fire Release Date Emerges
The long wait for new music from the Arcade Fire will soon come to an end. Material from the band’s follow-up to 2010’s The Suburbs will be coming out on September 9th, Revolt TV reports.
According to Revolt, sources close to the Arcade Fire revealed a few details for the as-yet-untitled new album, although the band has not yet officially commented. The sources said that the new material was recorded in multiple locations over the past year, including the already-reported work with James Murphy at his DFA Records studio in New York.

Late last month, Murphy spoke with Rolling Stone about working with the band on the new album, which is expected to be out by the end of the year. “There’s a lot of them, and they’re mostly self-produced – like, they don’t need a producer in a certain way,” he said, while praising the quality of the songs they came in with. “I think it’s going to be a really great record, actually,” he said. “I’m eager to see it come out.”
