Kanye West Promotes ‘Yeezus’ With ‘American Psycho’-Inspired Clip
Kanye West added a new dimension to his Yeezus video projection project on Friday night with a short film inspired by American Psycho. The clip, which was projected on the outside wall of Milk Studios in Los Angeles during a listening party for the new album, according to Rap-Up, recreates a scene from the 2000 film of the Bret Easton Ellis novel. In West’s version, reportedly filmed earlier this month in Brooklyn, Keeping Up With the Kardashian regulars Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban take on the roles of Patrick Bateman and his victim. Instead of delivering a lecture on the virtues of Huey Lewis and the News, West’s Bateman talks up Yeezus.
Yeezus is due out on June 18th through Def Jam, though the album was leaked through file-sharing sites earlier this week.
