Michael Jackson Estate Denies New Molestation Accusations
Michael Jackson‘s estate has denied new molestation accusations from Wade Robson, calling the 30-year-old choreographer’s claims against the singer “outrageous and pathetic.” Robson filed papers on May 1st, asking a judge to allow him to enter a late creditor’s claim against the pop singer’s estate.
Robson met Jackson when he was five, and the two developed a friendship. Wade began spending time at Neverland Ranch and Jackson’s homes in Las Vegas and Los Angeles for sleepovers by age seven, and the visits continued until he was 14.
Jury Seated in Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Trial
Wade’s lawyer submitted documents in the case under seal, making them unavailable to the public, according to TMZ. But Jackson’s estate has fired back against the new allegations. “This is a young man who has testified at least twice under oath over the past 20 years and said in numerous interviews that Michael Jackson never did anything inappropriate to him or with him,” Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Jackson estate, told TMZ. “Now, nearly 4 years after Michael has passed, this sad and less than credible claim has been made.”
Wade has worked with stars including Britney Spears, N’Sync, Usher and Pink, and has also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance. He previously testified in Jackson’s molestation trial in 2005, denying that the singer ever molested him. But Jackson’s former housekeeper also testified in the same trial that she saw the singer in the shower with Wade when the choreographer was eight or nine.
Jackson’s family is also currently in the middle of a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the singer’s mother against concert promoter AEG Live.
