George Michael Injured in Car Crash
The 49-year-old singer was involved in a May 16th accident on the M1 motorway near St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, and his representatives downplayed his injuries at the time. According to the BBC, Hertfordshire Police have confirmed no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The accident was another in a string of driving-related incidents for the former Wham! singer: he received an eight-week jail sentence and five-year driving ban in 2010 after driving his Range Rover into a photo store while high. In 2009, Michael was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed into the back of a truck. Police also found him slumped over the wheel of his parked Mercedes in 2006, and he pled guilty to driving under the influence of drugs the next year.
