Lady Gaga Named Godmother to Elton John’s New Son Elijah
Lady Gaga has been named godmother to Elton John and husband David Furnish’s baby son Elijah. The pop singer is already the godmother to John and Furnish’s two-year-old, Zachary, and the couple were so impressed with her guidance that they doubled down on Gaga’s godmother duties.

“She’s a great role model, she’s young, [and] she’s been a great godmother to Zachary,” John told Extra, as reported by Us Weekly. “We’re all bonkers in this business, but we’re human beings at the same time.” Added Furnish, “You learn so much about yourself and about life by seeing children.”
Even with a hand from Gaga, John and Furnish have their hands full with Zachary and Elijah, who was born in January. “I love getting up in the morning and having breakfast with Zachary,” said John, who added he shares a “tubby time” ritual at 6:30 with his sons. “Everything I thought I would find annoying about having children, like screaming and shouting and tantrums . . . I don’t find any of it annoying. I find it all enchanting.”
