Thom Yorke and Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja Score British Tax Documentary
Thom Yorke and Massive Attack‘s Robert Del Naja have collaborated on the score for a new documentary, The UK Gold, The Telegraph reports. Directed by Mark Donne, the film tracks the history of tax evasion while also telling the story of a vicar from a small parish in the London borough of Hackney who takes on Britain’s tax system.
The UK Gold is narrated by Dominic West (who played Detective Jimmy McNulty in The Wire) and will premiere at the Troxy Theatre in London on June 25th, with a musical performance from a secret act to follow. (Considering Yorke doesn’t hit the road until July for the European leg of Atoms for Peace‘s tour – they come to the States this fall – it’s possible he could be the performer.)

“To have a quintessentially English figure embarking on an odyssey to understand how London remains the financial capital of the world is in itself a fascinating narrative,” Donne said, noting that the story unfolds while London was in the international spotlight during the Queen’s Jubilee and last summer’s Olympics.
“A pretty stunning soundtrack from the creative hearts of Radiohead and Massive Attack creates a spellbinding experience,” the director added.
